Europe-Lambermont Medical Centre
Situated along a main road opposite Josaphat Park, Europe-Lambermont Medical Centre (the former Lambermont Clinic, which merged with the Edith Cavell Clinic in 1987) has become an important Brussels outpatient centre and is part of the CHIREC hospital group.
Close to NATO and with easy connections to Brussels airport, it serves a very large population, with almost 60,000 consultations each year.
Most medical specialties are represented, and all the doctors who work there are members of CHIREC.
A large number of paramedical professionals also work there (dentists, physiotherapists, psychologists, speech and language therapists, nurses, etc.), which makes the Centre a very versatile provider of all kinds of medical care.
Although there are no inpatient facilities, the Centre has a treatment room that is equipped to carry out many types of surgery under local anaesthetic.
The site receives all laboratory samples, while in the field of medical imaging, it is fully equipped for radiography, ultrasound, mammography, etc.
The Centre is directly connected to the CHIREC computer system, making it possible to communicate all the results of technical medical investigations immediately and consult medical records.
A total of 80 healthcare professionals (doctors and paramedics) receive patients every day of the week (including Saturday mornings).
Reception staff give a personal welcome and guide patients to the various medical consultation rooms situated on four levels.
All the consultants see patients by appointment.
There are easy transport links by bus and tram.
